Pakistani Government shooting Students

art.escort.afp.gi.jpgApparently there is a conflict occurring in Pakistan among the Pakistani government, and extreme Islamic students locked up in a mosque. The conflict is becoming so bad that there have been shots fired (not surprising though, given that it is occurring in the Middle East). I am grateful that the United States government doesn’t adhere to the principles of Pakistan.

Rather than valuing their students (the future government) of their country, they give lessons by using bullets. However, the government isn’t the only one acting crazy in this situation. It has been reported that two students who tried to ‘surrender’ were shot by their own peers!

Deputy Information Minister Tariq Azim said the following: “There will be no more dialogue…It has to be an absolutely total surrender, unconditional total surrender”

What in the world is this guy talking about!? This type of ‘diplomacy’ is a perfect example of why the problems in the Middle East exist. Instead of trying to have dialogue and resolve matters peacefully, the Minister has put forth an indirect ultimatum: surrender or be killed.

Brilliant.

So why has all this fighting occurred in the first place? Yup – religion. The students want Islamic law for Islamabad, and for some reason, the natural way to solve this dilemma is with bullets, bombs, and the killing of the innocent.

Pakistani officials say that an attack is scheduled in the near future…
