Quick little article I found about Tom Cruise and Scientology. I will give another article about scientology in the upcoming days.
TOM Cruise is the new “Christ” of Scientology, according to leaders of the cult-like religion. The Mission: Impossible star has been told he has been “chosen” to spread the word of his faith throughout the world. And leader David Miscavige believes that in future, Cruise, 44, will be worshipped like Jesus for his work to raise awareness of the religion. A source close to the actor, who has risen to one of the church’s top levels, said: “Tom has been told he is Scientology’s Christ-like figure.
“Like Christ, he’s been criticised for his views. But future generations will realize he was right.”
Cruise joined the Church of Scientology in the ’80s. Leader L Ron Hubbard claimed humans bear traces of an ancient alien civilisation.

Yeah this is freaky. Hmm I wonder if he can walk on water
Yeah, it sounds weird but I’m sure people talking the same about Jesus way back when probably had the same reception. After all, Jesus is only still worshipped because of the ability of his followers to spread his views/message to others. Perhaps in a thousand years, Scientology will become a major religion in the world and it won’t sound odd to worship Mr. Cruise….maybe then couch jumping might also become a sport 😉

the problem I have with the term “Christ” and “Tom Cruise” in the same sentence is that Christ is greek for Messiah – and Tom isnt anything close to a Messiah.
Messiah is defined as “the promised and expected deliverer of the Jewish people” (dictionary.com). Tom does not fit this bill in anyway.
At the very most, he is the most recognizable spokesman for a “religion” which he did not found (Jesus founded Christianity).
Jesus is also still talked about today because he did things impressive enough to be talked about; he spoke truths that trancend time; he revolutionized human nature (i.e. revenge, eye for an eye, etc.). I have not seen Tom do any of these – he just makes good movies.

IF Tom Cruise is Christ, who is Judas? and if jesus died on the cross, how will Tom die?
This is complete bullshit. Whoever belives thins this a complete and totall dumbass. Tom cruise is no Christ, there is only one Christ and its not Tom Cruise.
