December 20, 2007, Washington, DC – This morning, Santa Claus (in the person of noted constitutional lawyer Bill Goodman) drove his sleigh to the White House to deliver thousands of copies of the U.S. Constitution to President Bush.
Americans from all over the country – more than 37,000 of them – asked that a copy of the Constitution be delivered to the President in their name and cordially requested that he make time in his busy schedule to read it. read more

Have you heard? Iran stopped nuclear bomb developments four years ago… Bush lied again, Bush was wrong again.
Can anyone think of a worse president in history? I sure can’t. Frankly, Bush is an idiot, I cannot believe that I voted for him. I am wondering if there is anything good this guy has done while in the White House? Perhaps, but it is definately overshadowed by all the sh*t he has gotten us in over the past 7 or so years.
Man, what a LIAR! It’s as if he has used his position of power to trump any sense of human ethics. Okay, I’m not naive enough to think other Presidents didn’t lie, but at least they were smart enough to not get caught EVERY-SINGLE-TIME!
So we are left with another tarnish on what’s left of our image.

Today, a federal judge “invalided part of a 2001 order by President Bush allowing former presidents to review executive documents before they can be released under open records laws.” (view full story here: read more)
In reference to this story, I found the following comment. What do you all think:
I love this! Bush tried to illegally change the rules to ensure he could keep all of his secrets hidden after he leaves office. Now that the courts have decided he can’t do this, you just know that the paper shredders are busy working overtime in the White House basement. I can’t wait to see how many more of his lies and crimes are exposed after he’s out of office. At the very least, Bush will be spending the rest of his miserable life hiding from angry American citizens. No more fake crowds of carefully selected fans, no more staged photo-ops with the military. All he’ll have left is hiding on his ranch and peeking through the curtains to see if anyone is coming for him.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad invited President Bush to speak at an Iranian university if the American leader ever traveled to the Islamic Republic, state-run television reported Friday. Personally, I don’t think they could provide ample security. Even if they did, I wouldn’t want Bush speaking to the future of this world.

And so it has gone for six years. American intelligence officials interviewed by NEWSWEEK ruefully agree that the hunt to find bin Laden has been more a game of chance than good or “actionable” intelligence. Since bin Laden slipped away from Tora Bora in December 2001, U.S. intelligence has never had better than a 50-50 certainty about his location…

Has anyone else been wondering what happened to Bush’s campaign to start a “new way forward in Iraq”? When this “plan” came out, it was all we heard every single leader saying. The study group on Iraq was supposed to be the best (newest) plan that we could possibly put into action…so why don’t we hear about it anymore? (more…)

Reports that the Bush Administration will put Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the terrorism list can be read in one of two ways: it’s either more bluster or, ominously, a wind-up for a strike on Iran. Officials I talk to in Washington vote for a hit on the IRGC, maybe within the next six months. And they think that as long as we have bombers and missiles in the air, we will hit Iran’s nuclear facilities. An awe and shock campaign, lite, if you will. But frankly they’re guessing; after Iraq the White House trusts no one, especially the bureaucracy.
As with Saddam and his imagined WMD, the Administration’s case against the IRGC is circumstantial. The U.S. military suspects but cannot prove that the IRGC is the main supplier of sophisticated improvised explosive devices to insurgents killing our forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The most sophisticated version, explosive formed projectiles or shape charges, are capable of penetrating the armor of an Abrams tank, disabling the tank and killing the crew. >

To make the government more accountable, Obama said he would post all non-emergency bills online for five days before he signed them into law, allowing Americans a chance to weigh in on the legislation. In addition, he said he would post all meetings between lobbyists and government agencies online. Click the link below to read about why Obama feels the American public shouldn’t point only at Bush.

If you don’t already know, the Iowa Straw Poll, seen as a first test of organizational strength by news media and party insiders, took place yesterday. The results weren’t too surprising, considering that McCain, Fred Thompson, and Giuliani all boycotted the event. What was surprising, however, is that Fox News blatantly cut certain candidates out of the results they reported. (more…)

What in the world are those Soviets doing? A little while ago, I posted a story about how Russia believes it is the sole owner of the North Pole (therefore giving them access to a vast amount of untapped oil). Well, today Putin and company went to a new low… real low… in fact, 13,980 feet low. Apparently Russia felt the need to plant a titanium, non-rusting flag at the bottom of the ocean floor. I guess they think that putting a flag there will let all of us (the rest of the world) know that it is theirs. (more…)
